On May 9, 2024, the "Things for Use" - Dual solo exhibitions of Joan Cursach and Michel Leonardi, jointly organized by the Education and Culture Bureau and the Commerce Bureau of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, officially opened at the Tianjin Airport Art Museum. This exhibition focuses on the brand-new works created by two European artists during their residency in China. Through paintings and installation art, it presents the artistic experiments and thoughts under the collision of Chinese and Western cultures. The exhibition will last until early June.

Using ART as a medium to explore new paths of culture ‌

The "Things for Use" dual solo exhibition is an innovative practice of the bonded zone to deepen cultural exchanges along the "Belt and Road" and explore the integration of "art + industry". In the future, the bonded zone will build an international art exchange platform, continuously introduce overseas artist residency projects, provide good supporting services such as bonded art storage and trading, and create a cultural and artistic industry hub that radiates to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region

Cultural BONDED: Building a bridge for international art cooperation ‌

The person in charge of the Education and Culture Bureau of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone said, "As the forefront of China's opening up, the free trade zone not only provides support for the creations of international artists, but also hopes to attract international art resources to take root through bonded policies, and help local culture connect with the international community." During the exhibition, cross-border dialogue salons and other activities will also be held to promote in-depth interaction between the public and artists.
